The first words out of someone's mouth are usually "wow, this guy is soft!". Feel may fool you but numbers don't lie: Histogram: 21.7, 4.2, 19.4, CF=96% at 1+ year Then they look again at the color because they can't believe that a true black could actually have such a soft handle. With superb coverage of amazingly soft high frequency crimp, Comet is startlingly bright in black. He lives up to his sire's reputation with fiber, coverage and density that certainly catches the eye and rewards your touch. And he is uniform throughout. From top of the head to tip of tail-color and crimp is uniform. From top of the blanket to his belly-color and length is uniform. His sire, Snowmass Nova, bannered at Nationals as a yearling and as a 2 yr old. His offspring are now proving his worth. Described as THE elite black herdsire of the business, he was Futurity Dark Herdsire of the Year in 2005. Coffee Pot Femme Fatale has her own remarkable show record, winning as a juvenile and yearling, at nationals and top shows, and remains as one of the foundation females at Highland Alpaca. With lots of gray and black in Comet's genetics, he is loaded with the potential to produce each of those desirable colors for you. The only non-black and non-grays in his lineage are Peruvian Bueno (W) and Peruvian Drambuie (W).
