Toffee Shortbread

2 c. all-purpose flour

1 cup butter, softened

½ cup confectioners sugar

¼ tsp salt

¼ tsp double acting baking powder

1 tsp vanilla

1 package toffee and milk chocolate chips


Preheat oven to 350 F.  In a large bowl with mixer at medium speed, cream butter and sugar, blend in salt, baking powder, flour and toffee chips.  Mix until a soft ball is formed.  Shape ball into a log and chill.  Once chilled, make ¼” slices.  Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes.
